This is a dramatic still image from an animated spinal surgery procedure that we created for one of our clients. In the image, a photorealistic spinal dilator is being placed in the patient’s spine. The high-quality 3D animation makes it possible for people to really understand the nature of the surgical procedure and makes it easy to incorporate elements of augmented reality into a realistic demonstration of a procedure. Using animation also allows us to present the spine free from the context of irrelevant parts of the patient’s body.
